Earrings with rubies

I got these small earrings (the small one in the photo on the right) from my grandmother for my first birthday. The earrings are made similar to her earrings (the bigger one in the photo). She gave me those big earrings for my eighteenth birthday (coming of age). These earrings hold many memories and they remember all the family celebrations and many important events for my family of the last hundred years. My grandmother received them as a wedding present from my grandfather in 1924. Red rubies as a symbol of his love for her.
I keep this jewelry with love and one day I will give both of those pair of earrings to my granddaughter.
