Bryggen is a series of Hanseatic commercial buildings lining the eastern side of the Vågen harbour in Bergen. Since 1979 it has been on the UNESCO list for World Cultural Heritage sites.
Not everything here is authentic. Some houses were rebuilt after a big fire in 1955, mostly on old foundations.
