Good times on the Avenue
The Czech community of Cedar Rapids, Iowa is always ready to celebrate any possible occasion; this is one of those now unknown occasions. Possibly a wedding from the appearance of the younger couple on the goat powered wagon, or a king and queen for some reason. Note the band is a small horn, a drum, and the ever-present accordian; and the musicians appear to be wearing false faces. What ever this crowd was celebrating, it probably got better as the pivo (beer) got to flowing.
