Anyone out there photographing trains wishes for the appropriate lighting conditions for their approaching subject. Having the sun shine on your subject can be a good a thing or a bad thing depending on many variables. I was happy to see the sun poke its nose up over the mountains on the east bank of the Hudson River as this train approached my perch.
