Double Duffs return

Locomotive Services Limited's 47614 (47853) in BR Blue, complete with deflectors, leads the return leg of The Yorkshire Coast Statesman through Copmanthorpe working the 112Y 1520 Scarborough to St Albans this afternoon. Intercity Swallow liveried 47828 is tucked behind, the pair were both working hard making good time, and left a clog trail to rival that of the flying scotsman which had passed a few minutes earlier towed behind a west coast 47 for positioning.

I took a chance here, opting for the long lens, I thought they might open the throttles after clearing the bridges, my hunch was right, the clag casting a blue hue over the lines to the left.
