The Garden of Memory, Memorial to the Victims of March 11th 2004, Parque del Retiro, Madrid

This beautiful memorial is an artifcial hill on which are planted olive and cypress trees, one for each of the 192 victims of the vicious attack carried out on the local train system the morning of March 11th, 2004. A winding path takes visitors up to the top from which there is a view over the Parque del Retiro.
