Roman Aqueduct of Segovia, thousands years of history, Segovia, Castilla y León, Spain
The Aqueduct of Segovia is a Roman aqueduct in Segovia, Spain. It is one of the best-preserved elevated Roman aqueducts and the foremost symbol of Segovia.
Its construction dates from the beginning of the 2nd century AC., at the end of the reign of Emperor Trajano or the beginning of Adriano.
It is built with granite ashlars seated without mortar between them.
I took this picture at midday, with no the best light conditions and heat, from the Parador of Segovia, located on a hill in front of the city of Segovia. I would have liked to take this picture during the blue hour, but unfortunately we couldn´t wait until dusk because it was very late and we had to drive back home for about 30 minutes. Sometimes you cannot be at the right place in the right moment. Well, next time, in another season, we´ll try it.

El Acueducto de Segovia, miles de años de historia, Segovia, Castilla y León, España
El Acueducto de Segovia es un acueducto romano en Segovia, España. Es uno de los acueductos romanos elevados mejor conservados y el principal símbolo de Segovia.
Su construcción data de principios del siglo II d. C., a finales del reinado del emperador Trajano o principios de Adriano.
Está construido con sillares de granito asentados sin argamasa entre ellos.
Esta foto la tomé a mediodía, sin las mejores condiciones de luz y con calor, desde el Parador de Segovia, situado en una colina frente a la ciudad de Segovia. Me hubiera gustado tomar esta foto durante la hora azul, pero lamentablemente no pudimos esperar hasta el anochecer porque era muy tarde y teníamos que conducir de regreso a casa durante unos 30 minutos. A veces no puedes estar en el lugar correcto en el momento adecuado. Bueno, la próxima vez, en otra temporada, lo intentaremos.
