Cerro Torre bathing in morning light, icebergs bump into each other, the haunting sound echoes within the valley as if the old mountains were speaking. Whenever I’m in nature my mind wanders back to the stories I read as a kid. Tales of stone people, ancient trees that guard the forests and God’s and demons. The title of this image came to me the moment I saw this peak, like a spear, almost trident like.
Gugnir, Fashioned by the dwarves in an iron forge deep within the mountains of Asgard, a weapon made for Odin himself.
This image is from a trip to Patagonia with a few friends back in April. I’m disappointed in myself for how few images I captured over there. Hoping to get back next year for some more intense exploration.
