Velociraptor make over
A heavily modified EDU-TOYS Velociraptor skeleton model. The hands have been reformed cut and reattached in a more accurate manner. The tail was trimmed along the length and then curved slightly. The skull needed minimal trimming, the legs and hip attachments were reformed to allow the new pose. The feet were also reformed to accommodate the new stance and give a more accurate articulation. The original base, not shown, was discarded and a new stained wooden base designed to look like a museum display was made with a support to hold the model. The model is removable for cleaning and examination. The entire model was painted in acrylic paint as a base and various rustoleum spray paints were used to make a wash then crystal clear gloss clearcoat was used to seal both model and base.
