CSFS Volunteers partnered with Larimer County staff and volunteers to help mitigate Buckthorn at the Lions Open Space along the Poudre River corridor this morning. The event was held as part of the Make a Difference Day! Members of the Fort Collins Lions Club joined in to help with the efforts.
Make A Difference Day is a nationwide day of doing good but is celebrated for nearly the entire month of October in Larimer County because of its popularity and continued success. For the last 17 years, United Way has organized the event in Larimer County, and Make A Difference Day activities are the largest week of volunteer service in northern Colorado. uwaylc.org/Post/Make-A-Difference-Day
