Großer Wiesenknopf - Great Burnet

Der Große Wiesenknopf steht seit dem Mittelalter in dem Ruf, ein gutes, blutstillendes Mittel zu sein, worauf auch der botanische Name hinweist (sanguis = Blut und sorbere = einsaugen)

Für Bienen, Ameisen und Schmetterlinge ist der hübsche Wiesenknopf eine wichtige Nahrungsquelle.

Since the Middle Ages, the great burnet has had the reputation of being a good haemostatic, which is also indicated by its botanical name (sanguis = blood and sorbere = to suck in).
