always expect the unexpected

Clear skies with patches of fog were forecast for the morning. I was hoping to capture some foggy atmospheres, but the view out of the window an hour and a half before sunrise showed an almost closed cloud cover. The webcam on the Hoher Kasten showed a cloud-free gap on the eastern horizon and I changed the plan from foggy atmospheres to sunrise. In my region you can only photograph sunrises over the lake in the winter months and this place is one of the first where this is possible. I realized that I have never photographed here so early in the autumn: so far I only have pictures where there are no boats to be seen, as the buoy field has to be cleared at the beginning of October.
