Fog is the rule rather than the exception in Upper Swabia in late summer. Nevertheless, I only managed to get this shot on the fourth attempt: once there was too much fog and twice too little. But finally it worked out, the fog was just the right height so that the church towered above it, while the village remained largely hidden beneath it.
