Kolufossar

A little way off the ring road is the Kolugljúfur canyon, at the beginning of which the water of the Viðidalsá plunges into the depths over the Kolufossar. The place is now anything but an insider tip, but it is still not overly crowded and definitely worth the detour.

I really didn't see the sun very often during my two-week stay in Iceland, but on this particular morning it was shining. And she was about to go over the edge in the left area of the picture. I was just lucky and was able to get my shots.
