When I photograph the Northern Lights, I look for a suitable location early on. In this case it was already sunset, I then waited until the predicted lights began their dance. So I was able to focus on the mountain even when it was bright. Then I don't change the location anymore, because the risk of missing great northern lights during the change of location is too high for me. This approach has the disadvantage that I have a lot of great Northern Lights pictures with always the same foreground. In order not to bore the viewers, I usually choose the best image to present. But here I show you a second picture from this magical night...
