Goddess Ceto OOAK Anniversary Doll by Ninamorgue

Ceto was a primary deity of the sea in Greek mythology, the daughter of the Titans Pontus and Gaea, and personification of all the dangers that the sea posed, more sea-monsters specifically, whales and large sharks. As beautiful as horrible, legend tells she had the torso of a gorgeous woman followed by a long serpent tail ending in a poisonous stinger. She swims placidly at sea waiting for unwary vessels to appear. After spy them, she asks for help hiding her serpent tail. As soon as the ship gets close enough envelops the boat with her tail, crushing the hull and dragging it to the depths. She doesn't devour the surviving sailors, but remains near them watching their useless struggles until they drowned.

Now, mythology and fashion belong together in this wonderful recreation of the ancient Greek Goddess. Featuring fantastical hand-painted green skin, shimmering wavy hair, and snake-like skirt, reminiscent of her truly nature. Iridescent dark teal accessories include sculpted bodice, headdress and coral staff. Out-of-this-world reptile eyes and dramatic face paint add the final touches to this deliciously evil creature.
