Nannau
Taken early last autumn with some colour starting to appear. This is a scene looking across to Nannau Hall an historic house near Llanfachreth and Dolgellau north Wales with the hillside of Foel Cynwch rising behind. The present house was built in the 1790s on the site of an earlier building built in the 11th century by Cadwgan the son of Bleddyn ap Gynfyn The Prince of Powys and became the ancestral home of his descendants the Nanneys. It has been empty for many years and it's sad to see it deteriorating, a wealth of info on it's history can be found on the website nannau.wales. I have removed a few small items from this scene, a piece of agri machinery from in front of the house and a couple of small items from the side, all objects that could easily be taken away from the location.
