Χίμαιρα 2nd Generation MBT

The Χίμαιρα was commissioned in 1973, ten years after the Ιππόκαμπος Μέσον. However It wasn't to replace the Ιππόκαμπος Μέσον rather to serve a role that could not be filled by the Tank. It was planned to lead groups of the cheaper Ιππόκαμπος Μέσον , so it was given heavier armor while still retaining the Ιππόκαμπος Μέσον ‘s speed. The Χίμαιρα however does suffer from vision problems and it drinks fuel fast, really fast. Its upper slope while being thicker is as sloped as the Ιππόκαμπος Μέσον as well. But its main armanet packs a punch, and it's a great brawler, able to turn better than the older Ιππόκαμπος Μέσον. Like the Ιππόκαμπος Μέσον the Χίμαιρα hull was produced in Argolis, But the gun and the turret were produced in Corinth. A trading city that rivaled even Rhodes herself, before the republic was formed which allowed Rhodes a monopoly on trade. Still Corinth thrives, if not to the same extent of the past.
