When I was shooting this, I didn't know if I'd be able to get this effect in post. The frames are lit by spotlights on the ceiling and were a bit brighter to the naked eye but the steep curves I'd need for this look and my m4/3 sensor don't always agree. As it turned out, some minor noise reduction was all I needed in that department. I now realize I can perceive brightness differences better in dim light and the brightness of this hall caused me to underestimate how much I had to work with.
