I discovered this, half-processed, among old files. I think I must have given up on it because the processing I'd done pulled out too much noise and the regular Darktable noise-reduction algorithms were smearing things too much. Could have worked as is, and was fine and subtle, but I'm under curfew until Monday...
My fast-becoming-standard over-processing: iterated anisotropic filter (G'MIC dream filter) 'tuned' at the cost of about 4-5 minutes a try, then deconvolution sharpening, then other toys like curves, wavelet contrast enhancement etc.
The subject is a bunch of semi-standing waves in a park fountain/pool under very mixed light (natural, several kinds of artificial) close to dusk. Long-ish exposure. I remember hand-holding with my elbows planted on the pool's edge.
