Wingfield Tunnel
After photting this working passing through Peak Forest, I thought I’d try and make it to the footbridge near Wingfield Tunnel for another bite of the Cherry. Luckily for me, it was running around 10 minutes late when I parked the car and dashed as quick as i could handle across the fields and footpath that leads to the line side foot bridge.
For the record, Rail Operations Group Class 37/7 No.37884 is seen not long after emerging from a shadowy Wing Field Tunnel, leading the 17:10 1Z86 Buxton Spa Express from Buxton to Lichfield City. This was a Railtour organised by Transport for Britain to raise money for a new Transport Link to the National Arboretum in Staffordshire.
