Kangaroo Spinney
With a Class 37 on a test train due up the MML, and not being from the local area, I really wasn’t sure where to go to get a decent picture, considering most of the middle section of the MML is now looking very different with the ongoing electrification program up to Corby.
I was recommended this location by a fellow photographer earlier in the day but wasn’t sure if it was still on due to this bridge having to be dismantled due to it being to low for the new wires going up!
So i was surprised to see that the shot was still ok, even though most of the bridge is fenced off.
All I had to do now was to hope that the build up of hazy milky cloud would hold off long enough for the sun to make an appearance for this working to pass by, and it just about did.
Scottish Preservation Society’s class 37/0 No.37025 Inverness TMD is seen passing through Kangaroo Spinney, Wellingborough on the 1st of June 2019 with the 11:15 3M05 from Dollands Moor Sidings to Derby RTC.
