Deutz OMZ117 - SE45 Scale (1:13,7)
My attempt to recreate a "Feldbahn" locomotive - in this case the Deutz OMZ117 - in 7/8 (Seven Eights) scale.
Running on 45mm gauge track, this specific combination of Scale and Gauge becomes then SE45. The locomotive can also run on standard Lego Track (and in this case, how may we call it... SEL???) which could be better in this case, due to the narrow radius curves and switches.
I thought this one to run on Power Functions L motor and small battery box, but everything can be adapted (I was thinking to Bluebrixx 2.4 ghz battery box and controller). Medium BBB wheels and 2.779:1 final gear ratio should make it sufficiently slow and smooth. I prepared some inexpensive little wagons to complete the picture. Hope you like it!!! :)
