Eye ball

Initially to create this design I had to create the eye, I used polymorph plastic to mould the actual eye ball and then added a cut out image of a brown eye over the top. I then painted the whole eye in clear nail paint to make it slightly shiny. I used red wool to create the strings connecting the eye to the face and the eye veins, gradually applying individual strings with super glue. I covered the eyelashes of the model with Vaseline to prevent them from getting covered in spirit gum, then I covered the models closed eye with a thin layer of prosthetic gelatine. I moulded an eyelid using a mix of thin layers of gelatine, tissue paper and latex and then added more red yarn and black face paint to the inside of the eyelids to replicate a hole. I then applied red, purple and yellow coloured face paints and a lot of fake blood to the wound.
