Five-snake Flip

I went out one early morning to search a small forest opening in northeastern Connecticut for snakes. I spent about 10 minutes walking around the tiny meadow flipping the few small boards lying around, and found 3 ringneck snakes and a brown snake. Just as I was about to leave, I noticed a small slice of a tree stump no more than a square foot in surface area. To my surprise there were five snakes underneath - 3 garter snakes, a ringneck snake, and a brown snake. I was able to snag this mediocre photo before they disappeared.
