On the west side of Vancouver Island is Freedom Cove, and here there is a 500-ton floating island, attached to land by a few ropes. It's a colourful complex of wooden structures, a two-story home, four greenhouses, an art gallery and a dance floor. Artists Catharine King and Wayne Adams have spent over 20 years building this floating structure on the sea.
