Horse Races - Waregem Koerse [Explored]
We attended the Belgian "Waregem Koerse" for the very first time on 30 August 2022, when the famous event celebrated its 175th anniversary.
It was quite an experience!
The winning horse of this race (there were several) was a mare, Lady Magda, ridden by a female jockey. The horse that came in second was also ridden by a female jockey, which made the commentator say this was 'Girl power'. [Explored on 29 August 2024 in the Sports Takeover, #386]
