The Monks' Stairway to Heaven!

Another detail from the partly ruined Malmesbury Abbey, and this, I believe, was the Benedictine monks' secret stairway to heaven ;-)

I don't know if these were stairs, but they look like it. When you search my next photo you can see where in the ruins these stairs are situated!
