Heroes don't have to wear capes or tights . . . but they have a super power all their own.
Inner strength and heart.
Everyday, brave men, women, and children of all races and cultures are in the fight of their lives against cancer. It can impact anyone at any time, sometimes with little to no warning. It doesn't discriminate, and those impacted have to fight every day, with the heart and inner strength of super heroes, in order to vanquish this terrible enemy.
Those who have cancer are heroes.
But, they can't do this alone.
No matter how hard they try, they need support . . . emotional, financial and more. They need to know that there are people out there who care, and who want to help them with their fight. But even those who support them also have to have an inner strength and heart similar to those fighting cancer, as it impacts them just as much as the cancer patient.
Those who help those facing cancer, emotionally, physically, or through their financial donations, are also heroes.
Heroes Helping Heroes is a small team based on superheroes. Some of us may wear tights and roleplay with superpowers in Second Life, but we prove that we are heroes by fundraising during Relay for Life to support the brave heroes fighting cancer.
