Exotic Feline Breeding Compound - Rosamond, California - Batari (meaning "goddess" in Indonesian) the Malayan Tiger was born at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo in Fresno, California on 1/5/14 to Mek (Mom) and Paka (Dad) and has lived at EFBC since 10/20/15. Mek still lives at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Paka passed away at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo on 4/5/14.

 

Batari has three littermates:

 

(1) Berani, her brother, lives at the San Diego Zoo

 

(2) Cinta, her brother, lives at the San Diego Zoo

 

(3) Arya, her sister, lives at the Knoxville Zoo in Tennessee

 

Batari has five older siblings:

 

(1) Menderu, her brother, was born on 4/29/08 and lives at the Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero, California

 

(2) Jin, her sister, was born on 4/29/08 and lives at the Tulsa Zoo in Tulsa, Oklahoma
