Fresno Chaffee Zoo - Fresno, California - Kiki the African Lioness was born at the Santa Barbara Zoo in Santa Barbara, California on 2/3/04 to Gingerbread and Chadwick. She was hand-raised and moved to Zoo Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia on 12/20/05. She moved to her current home at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo in 2015 with her daughter, Zamaya.
While at Zoo Atlanta, Kiki gave birth to seven surviving cubs with her partner, Kamau, who now lives at the Dallas Zoo in Dallas, Texas.
Her sons Christos, Mikalos and Athanaisi were born on 5/31/08 and live at Africam Safari in Puebla, Mexico.
Her sons Hondo, Hatari and Azizi were born on 11/19/13 and live at Zoo Atlanta. Their sister/littermate, Zamaya, lives with their mother at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.
Kiki gave birth to a male cub, Kijani, at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo on 10/11/16. This was her first litter with first-time father, Chisulo.
