Sacramento Zoo - Sacramento, California - Bahagia (Baha, for short) the Sumatran Tiger was born at Zoo Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia on 11/27/00 to Jalal (Dad) and Sekayu (Mom) and was hand-raised. She moved to the Sacramento Zoo on 6/27/02 and was tragically killed on 2/10/16 by a male exhibit mate, Mohan, during introductions.

 

Baha's legacy lives on in the 5 cubs she had with her late mate Castro:

 

(1) Kipling, born on 11/24/06, lives at the Dallas Zoo in Dallas, Texas

(2) Emerson, born on 11/24/06, lives at the Jackson Zoo in Jackson, Mississippi

(3) Taymor (a.k.a. "Larry"), born on 11/24/06, lives at the San Francisco Zoo in San Francisco, California

(4) Jingga, born on 3/18/10, lives at the Topeka Zoo in Topeka, Kansas

(5) C.J., born on 3/3/13, lives at the Los Angeles Zoo in Los Angeles, California
