Aurora & Tipi

Siksika 146 Indian Reserve, AB

 

This was not an anticipated aurora by Space Weather Live but luckily I was out on the road when a friend called to tell me the daytime Kp-index was a Kp6, which later downgraded to a Kp5 seen in this photo. The moon (waxing gibbous) was out & directly behind me illuminating the tipi which was great!
