Iowa Pacific (SLRG) Pullman-built streamlined heavyweight lounge observation #3306 AUDUBON PARK. Built in 1916 by Pullman in Lot #4406 to Floorplan #6-B-90 as Illinois Central Railroad (IC) 88 seat coach #2175, 1 of 39 such cars (#2168-#2206) built in that Lot. In 1947, 2 of these cars (#2188 and #2175) were rebuilt at IC's Burnham Shops to 48 seat club lounge round end observations #3305 MARDI GRAS and #3306 AUDUBON PARK respectively for the CITY OF NEW ORLEANS. In 1971, the #3305 was sold to Louis Saia (of Saia Trucking), and later went to the New Orleans Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society (NRHS), resold in 1977 to the Roanoke Chapter, and acquired in 2010 by Iowa Pacific. The #3306 was also retired (exact year unknown) and sold to a private owner. Several years later, it was moved to a hunting lodge/ranch near McKinney, TX, and was acquired by Iowa Pacific in 2013. Seen in Iowa Pacific's ex-Denver & Rio Grande Western (D&RGW) yard in Alamosa, CO.
