A cross section of a small beetroot bulb backlit with torch.

 

Being of Eastern European heritage this was a no brainer. Raw Beetroots undoubtedly are the most beautiful and striking in colour of all vegetables.

 

This was one of the smaller bulbs I could find. The overall max width of frame here is 6cm.
