Mother Heron

I really enjoyed watching her juvenile daughter try and mimic her stalking and ambush hunting tactics. He would often get frustrated with waiting for a fish so he'd fly to the other side of the bay and try there, but then he’d get impatient and start slowly stalking, and then he’d get more impatient and start running…. And then take off and fly to the other side of the lake. This was such a treat to watch with God. I spent most of my time using a much longer lens, but this was my favorite of the day. I love the curves of the shore, the reflections, her slow stalking, and the sunset colors. Her son is the next shot on my feed
