Juvenille Heron

I really enjoyed watching this juvenile heron try and mimic its parent stalking and ambush. He would often get frustrated with waiting for a fish so he'd fly to the other side of the bay and try there, but then he’d get impatient and start slowly stalking, and then he’d get more impatient and start running…. And then take off and fly to the other side of the lake. Was really a treat to watch with God. I spent most of my time using a much longer lens, but this was my favorite of the juvenile. Such a pretty landscape and I like the weight of the clouds and shore on the right side. His position in the lower center is awkward but is balanced to me by the clouds and shore. I did get a picture of his mother, and hopefully I’ll publish this weekend
