Citânia de Briteiros is an archaeological site that occupies a small mountainous elevation of medium altitude, of which is prominent the S. Româo Hill, situated on the right-hand bank of the Ave River, in the municipality of Guimarâes. The most evident and monumental archaeological remains correspond to the protohistoric occupation of the place during the first an second Iron Ages.
