Calm Seas
Have not posted anything in a bit, though I have had some LEGO projects going on. I hope to upload some of those too in the near future.
Build the ship for this one night a couple weeks back, and spent a few hours the next day putting together the display for it. I was not sure what I wanted to work on, so I picked an unusual part (pharaoh's hat) left over from the last thing I was working on and went from there. Finding a good peice for the sails was the next big challenge, and it was quite accidental that I ended up with the croc/dragon heads. I had pulled them out while looking for a good sail, wanting to use them as a starting point for the next build I was thinking of. It was another 30 minutes or so of trying elements out before I considered the croc/dragons heads. Attaching them was another story, but they stay in place quite well, some friction involved.
The base is simple, though I was surprised to find I own hardly any basic blue cheese wedges : /
Enjoy :)
