Joseph «Tino» Rossi a fondé les Mardis cyclistes de Lachine en 1978. Au début, moins de 10 coureurs s’étaient disputé la victoire…

Depuis leur fondation , les Mardis n’ont cessé de progresser. L’événement n’aurait probablement jamais survécu aussi longtemps sans son maestro et chef d’orchestre.

Celui que l’on surnomme amicalement «Tino», en a épaté plus d’un au cours des années, de par sa persévérance, son implication, mais surtout par sa passion. Sa passion, vous l’aurez tous deviné est le cyclisme.

Originaire de Supino, une petite ville italienne non loin de Rome, Joseph Rossi est débarqué en Amérique à l’âge de 14 ans. Son prénom «Tino» vient de ses camarades de musique de l’Université de Montréal. Joseph chantait bien et ressemblait étrangement au célèbre chanteur, Tino Rossi.

History of the race

Since their foundation, Tuesdays have continued to progress. The event would probably never have survived so long without his maestro and conductor.

The one who is nicknamed "Tino", has impressed many over the years, by his perseverance, his involvement, but especially by his passion. His passion, you will have guessed it all is cycling.

Originally from Supino, a small Italian town not far from Rome, Joseph Rossi landed in America at the age of 14. His name "Tino" comes from his classmates from the University of Montreal. Joseph sang well and sounded like the famous singer, Tino Rossi.
