4500 YEARS OF HUMAN HISTORY ON CASTLE HILL
The "Castillo" de Alcalá is the result of nearly 4,500 years of human history on the Cerro del Castillo. The oldest archaeological findings lead us to the Bronze Age (II millennium a.n.e.), when a small walled village is installed on the western edge of the Hill. It would be a settlement dedicated to agricultural production in the countryside Guadaíra, whose size would depend in some way (and more) nearest town located in the Mesa de Gandul. 4500 AÑOS DE HISTORIA HUMANA SOBRE EL CERRO DEL CASTILLO
El "Castillo" de Alcalá es el resultado de cerca de 4.500 años de historia humana sobre el Cerro del Castillo. Los hallazgos arqueológicos más antiguos nos llevan a la Edad del Bronce (II milenio a.n.e.), cuando se instala un pequeño poblado amurallado en el extremo oeste del Cerro. Sería un asentamiento dedicado a la producción agrícola de la campiña del Guadaíra, que por su tamaño dependería de alguna manera del cercano (y mayor) poblado situado en la Mesa de Gandul.
