Moonlight Visit
I went to visit you today,
walked through your neighbourhood,
but nobody was there,
nobody answered,
nobody to talk to;
I wondered around a bit
I called your name
only the wind answered;
I was missing you
so I waited,
Even though the light started to fade,
and the moon came up,
nobody answered;
My knocking went unnoticed for so long,
that my knuckles were grazed,
so I ran my thumb one last time
over your name
carved in granite
and left.
