Standing Proud

Something a little different than my coastal shots of Cornwall, yep wildlife.

Thought I would go snowdrop hunting as it is the time of the year for them to appear.

I do like having a go at close up photography, either small creatures or still life, but am normally a little shy of uploading such work when I see the high standards set by others.

A macro lens was my choice but caution was the watchword as these friendly looking snowdrops can be quite hostile at times, rumour has it one of these little creatures eat a man alive in a nearby village, bones and all.

Having seen this little gem standing proud looking quite timid all on its own, I laid down completely flat on my chest a couple of feet away from it just in case it did turn fearsome and did my best to photograph it, what could possibly go wrong.

Well the getting down was the relatively easy bit, but when old Bri tried to get back up that’s when I realised the years had caught up with me. There was a bit of non compliance from my knee joints to obey the instructions from my brain to get me vertical again.

Anyway, I reached into the camera bag, got out a tin of WD 40, applied to the knees in order to loosen them up and all was well. When I got home Mrs P said by the smell of it you have been using that cheap aftershave you got out of the Christmas cracker.

Thank you so much for viewing my photos, hope you get as much enjoyment out of them as I do taking the images on location.

So appreciate the comments and banter you leave.

Have a great weekend πŸ‘πŸΊπŸΊπŸΊπŸ·πŸ·πŸ·πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.
