"Ai" (A4, LINO PRINT, ACRYLICS)
Lino print based on "Territory" and inspired by a book I read on ancient and modern aboriginal artists, "Aboriginal Art". This book had a huge influence on my work as it was the starting point to many of my aboriginal-like figures and patterns. During the process of this print, I did not roll out the ink properly (acrylics) which made it so that when the pressure was put onto the lino, it formed this strange background pattern which at first I detested. However, after doing many other prints and making sure I rolled the ink out perfectly, I soon discovered that this outcome was much more powerful.
