" Dotty about Henry "

Hi Everybody! Meet " Henry ". Hes a rescue dog and my Son got him from Battersea Dogs Home. He had no intentions of getting such a big dog but when he and his wife seen Henry sitting in his cage peering out at them with his head cocked to one side and his big sad brown eyes, well, you know what happened...........! I couldnt have resisted him either!

A lady who lived in a one bed high rise apartment owned Henry so you can imagine the state of him when my son got him! He was stir crazy poor thing and he was very hard work but love. lots of treats and 4 hours walking every day soon got him back to "normal", though thats not the exact word Id use when talking about H!

Henry is very intelligent but totally ga-ga really. He loves trees and likes to charge them with his head which is as hard as a rock but in every other way hes so gentle. He loves people and Ive watched how he behaves so gently with children as though he knows they are small.

Hes very spotty! Hes got spots everywhere. The insides of his ears, in his mouth, his tongue and even on his claws. Apparently the spots move around and dont stay in the one place! A bit like Henry who cant stay in the one place for too long either!

Oh! And one last thing. " H " is a poser! All you have to do is point a camera at him and he will sit there and not budge an inch! He knows my voice on the phone and barks loudly when he hears me talking to my son in England.

I think hes adorable really but definitely high maintenance so unless you have the time and the energy get something more placid and easy going like a Labrador but then you wont have half as much fun really!!!
