NGC 6960 Witchs Broom Sept 5th,6th 2021 FINAL

This is the Western part of the Veil Nebula: the "Witch's Broom". It is a supernova remnant from a supergiant star that exploded 10,000 years ago and lies at a distance of 2,400 light years.

AA115 APO, EQ6 R, ZWO ASI294MC Pro, Optolong L enhance filter, Orion 50mm guide scope, ZWO ASI290 MM guide camera.

The filter has beautifully exposed the red H alpha and green OIII emissions.

And it really does resemble a witch's broom....just needs a witch!!
