Definitely a "Guilty Pleasure" right here. The Italian born former BBC News main political editor for 7 years before stepping down in the summer of 2022 to front her own political flagship show on weekends. Laura is not without controversy following her around in her high-profile career, being accused many times of favouring the Conservative Party over the Labour Party with statements, quotes and tweets on-air or in publication, and many times it's cost her a solid built-up reputation over the years and gigs with leading politicians around the world from time to time. An apology would be demanded from her is not uncommon. The women working in and around UK politics over the decades since the years of Margaret Thatcher have always been notoriously stale looking and fairly unattractive which is fair enough for the serious position they hold within Parliament, but a few political commentators have bucked the trend in the last 10 years bring an air of appealing sexiness to the stuffy marble and granite halls of Westminster, and for me none have done it better than the nifty quirky shapely Laura.
