Black Jones
Jennifer Lopez
Self entitled, self absorbed, self importance. Phrases that have following this extraordinary entertainer for the best part of 25 years from certain members of the public that have tried to do down her place in music and film history. They failed. Jo-Lo is still knocking it outta the park and silencing the haters. She was already a decent actress of considerable range outside of any role that required singing and dancing earning good critical reviews starting way back in 1998's "Out of Sight" opposite rising star George Clooney. During this period of the late 1990s Jennifer Lopez fever was everywhere and everyone caught it making her a global pop icon in a couple years with now considered classic Latin Pop crossover music infused with her amazing energy levels and possibly the most famous round backside in hot skirts and tiny shorts to round off the decade. After several decent sized film hits, the thud back to earth with the infamous huge box office bomb and one of the worst film of the entire decade was "Gigli" (2003) starring with her then lover "Ben Affleck". Bad news for him, Jennifer simply had her record breaking music career to return to but even that was on the wane following several statements she made to the media about being the "real deal" and all the "Jenny from the block" buzz making out she was as lowly and homely as any another struggling young Latino woman in the early 2000s. She was anything but while rolling out in Rolex watches, Bentley cars and a star studded love life that gained it's own legs at the height of her career. She took a few years off and returned in 2005 with a smash hit film opposite legendary actress "Jane Fonda" in "Monster in Law". Never been short of work throughout the 2010s, she landed big again with the smash hit film "Hustlers" (2019) that earned her acting award nomination for her role as a veteran stripper of a posse of fellow strippers out to make some bank from the male clientele skimming their credit cards. Jennifer was also announced to be headlining the 2020 Super Bowl Half time Show in February 2020 alongside fellow Latino beauty and global singing star "Shakira" that blew the roof off as one of the greatest Half time live performances in Super Bowl history. Jennifer showed right there that barely anyone in her league can get near to her complete showbusiness star quality on live tv. Now 54 years old (as of 2023), she ain't slowing up and still looks stunning. *above photo of amazing J-Lo in the early 2000s.
