Green Tree Snake DSC_6145
My favourite kind of snake. No fangs, no venom and would rather slither away than try to bite you! However, if you bother them too much, they will raise a stink by emitting a smell form their anal glands.
My advice-dont bother them!
This species is active by day where it looks for frogs and reptiles to eat in trees and on the ground. Come the night, it usually sleeps in tree hollows, crevices and foliage. It feeds mostly on frogs and skinks.
We saw this one coiled up around a tree branch hanging over the river.
