I was treated to a Black-shouldered kite (pictured) and a Nankeen kestrel, working a small strip of grassland around the Snipe Lake near home.
The Black-shouldered Kite is one of my favourite birds to watch while it hovers so gracefully over the landscape.
They were a fair way off.
Rather than discard the image though, and in keeping with my endevour to include the habitat of some birds, I have chosen to include the sky as it's habitat which is kind of limitless to a bird!
